Fluid mechanics essay

Fluid mechanics distinguishes between compressible fluids (e.g., gases) and incompressible fluids (ideal liquids). Two kinds of flow are considered. Internal or confined flow, also named as “duct flow” is flow completely bounded by solid surfaces, such as flow in pipes, ducts, and vessels.

Fluid mechanics, in general, is important physically, particularly to engineering and technology. The transport of heat and mass, on the other hand, are fundamental features of fluid flows. As such, thermal-fluid-mass transfer processes are vital to several processes.

Fluid mechanics is a branch of mechanics that studies fluids and the forces on them. Fluid mechanics examines fluids in two subsystems: static and dynamic. Fluids, and especially air and water, have a major role in the life of creatures and ~65% of our body is composed of water.

In oil and gas industry speed of flow which is dependent on the viscous nature of oil and gas which is considered as friction force between the layers of liquid plays important role as due to this force energy is released. In this way the role of fluid mechanics which is very important in the oil and gas industry is clear.
